Project Goal
The main objective was to create a modern and scalable job-matching web platform with four distinct user roles: guests, applicants, employers, and administrators. The system needed to support job applications, offer negotiations, referral tracking, subscriptions, chat, and admin moderation — all within a single app.
Project Details
JobsScout was developed from scratch using Next.js as the frontend framework and Supabase as the backend solution (including authentication, storage, and serverless functions). I was responsible for the full stack:
Frontend: Role-based dashboards for applicants, employers, and admins, including pages for job listings, candidate management, resume submission, and employer offers.
Backend: Implemented in Supabase with table relationships, RLS (Row Level Security) for access control, and Supabase Edge Functions for transactional operations.
Chats: Real-time chat built using Supabase Realtime subscriptions with conversation history and status indicators.
Deals: Multi-stage job application and hiring flow with statuses, disputes, and payment indicators.
Referrals: Unique referral codes and analytics per user.
Admin Panel: Moderation tools, document verification queue, and dispute resolution dashboard.
Results & Impact
Achieved full role separation with secure access control.
Enabled real-time communication and tracking of deals and referrals.
Prepared for future monetization via Stripe subscriptions (architecture already implemented).
Positive testing feedback on clean UI/UX and fast app speed.
